Week in UK August 7th, 2008

I couldn’t push the whole 4 weeks without Michelle and the boys and so am returning to UK on August 13th for a week in the rain before returning - en masse - on August 20th. I will be contactable at all times of course via email. I will also be in India at the end of October, but you will be able to read more about that at www.ruckinrugby.com soon!

Jesterz returns August 7th, 2008

I have been thinking about my brand and the situation with trading in the Middle East for almost 2 years now and I have decided to make only a subtle change. I will trade in the Middle East as Jesterz Communications which was the very first name I used when I first went out on my own back in 2000 as Consultant and Technical Author. This brand will slowly percolate through the website and replace that of The Pig Farmer Designs. I will still keep all the old email addresses and domain names so I will still be contactable in the same way, nothing will change. I will still use the name and no doubt my existing UK clients will refer to me as The Pig Farmer for some time to come, and there’s no problem with that. All new contact options and details will be live on the site soon. Thank you.

Twin Projects for August August 1st, 2008

Two great projects have come in via Dubai this month and I hope both will prove to set a new standard in their fields. One is in the financial sector, one in recruitment - both of which are fields that I don’t normally move in, so I am very excited about seeing the results. Both sites are being built simultaneously and will include full branding packages - more news as it comes.

Wing Guard Security July 25th, 2008

Wing Guard Security are a company from the UK who have offices here in Dubai. they are specialists in professional security services such as large scale event management, mobile patrols and offensive and defensive close protection. We have given their brand and logo a lift, designed them a very slick and professional website and look forward to providing some stationery that will truly set them apart from the opposition in the Middle East where high quality branding is still very much a rarity. Watch this space for links once the site is live.

RuckinRugby continues to flourish in the sun July 15th, 2008

RuckinRugby have had some great and early success here in Dubai - see their BLOG for more news. This month they have signed up to design an all new website for the Arabian Gulf RFU - and one for Dubai’s oldest club, - the Dubai Exiles. RuckinRugby are continuing to look at business opportunities and have been talking to many clothing and kit suppliers as well as player agencies etc - it all looks good for the future.

Local interest takes hold July 1st, 2008

We have our first project for a local business this month, here in Dubai - a Security Company called Wingguard. We are at the early stages but it is all going well and our discussions have been promising as it would seem that professional web design is certainly something lacking here in the UAE, - so we look forward to more opportunities.

Amore Moi close to live date June 19th, 2008

This website has gone in many circles and had us all in turmoil - but as ever, it is almost done and we are happy with the results. You can see the website live here - www.amoremoi.com - and I think this will be the final version, - but you never know. Emma Jones has persevered with this for several weeks now but finally got the site to look how she wants it and is very excited about her new venture - as we are too. We wish you all the best Emma and are sure you will back before xmas for a design makeover in a festive theme??

Yachting in Cochin June 10th, 2008

Whilst back in the UK I met with Gordon Brown (No - not that one) in a small village near my home in Devon. Gordon wants to set up a website for a boat boy his family use when yachting in Cochin, India. Nasar is a fabulous boat boy and guide but unfortunately he has become a victim of his own success and the subject of unwanted ‘impersonators’! The website will look to put a face to the name and spread the word among the yachting community - that THIS is the real Nasar. We have some great photos of Nasar and I look forward to setting this site up for Gordon.
